What is the difference between Free and Pro? Buying & licensing
The free edition covers core calorie estimates for lighter embeds. Pro adds macros and goals presentation, email and PDF delivery, lead capture, one-screen or multi-step layouts, editable visitor labels, look-and-feel controls, webhooks, backup tools, and ongoing Freemius updates under a commercial licence.
How does licensing work? Buying & licensing
Calorie Calculator Pro is sold and updated through Freemius. After purchase you receive a licence key to activate in WordPress. Renewals keep updates and licence-holder support available for the product.
How many sites can I use, and what happens on renewal? Buying & licensing
Site allowances depend on the plan you choose at checkout on Freemius. When a subscription renews, you keep access to updates for that licence. Check your Freemius account for the exact site quota on your plan.
Do you offer refunds? Buying & licensing
Refunds follow the Freemius checkout policy shown at purchase. If something is wrong with the calculator after activation, contact support with your licence email and we will help resolve it first.
How do I install Calorie Calculator Pro? Getting started
Upload the Pro zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, activate it, then enter your Freemius licence key. Prefer a staging site first if you customise templates heavily.
How do I show the calculator on a page? Getting started
Use the plugin shortcodes documented in the docs hub — typically a main calculator shortcode on any page or post. You can also place it in a widget-ready area where shortcodes are supported.
What is the difference between one-screen and multi-step? Getting started
One-screen shows the full form at once — fast for returning visitors. Multi-step guides people through smaller chunks, which often improves completion on mobile. Both use the same calculation engine; you choose the layout that fits your audience.
Which formula does the calculator use? Calculator & results
By default it uses the Mifflin–St Jeor equation for daily energy estimates. When a visitor supplies body-fat percentage, Pro can use the Katch–McArdle equation instead for lean-mass based estimates.
Are the results medical advice? Calculator & results
No. Results are for general wellness education only. They are not a diagnosis or a substitute for advice from a qualified clinician.
Can visitors use US and metric units? Calculator & results
Yes. The calculator includes US and metric unit tabs so visitors can enter height and weight in the system they prefer.
How do email and PDF delivery work? Calculator & results
Pro can email results and generate a PDF export of the calculation summary. Configure delivery and branding in the plugin settings; a sample PDF is linked from the product page.
Does Pro capture leads? Privacy & forms
Yes. You can collect optional visitor details such as name and email with the calculation flow, then use them for follow-up according to your own privacy policy and consent practices.
Is it GDPR-friendly? Privacy & forms
The plugin gives you the tools to collect only what you need, but compliance depends on how you configure forms, consent, and storage. Pair it with a clear privacy policy and any cookie or consent tools your site already uses.
Do you support spam protection? Privacy & forms
Pro supports reCAPTCHA v3 for form abuse reduction. Keys and behaviour are covered in the documentation.
Can I change labels and look-and-feel? Customise & developers
Yes. Pro includes editable visitor-facing labels and look-and-feel settings so the calculator can match your brand without forking the plugin.
Are there developer hooks and webhooks? Customise & developers
Yes. Actions, filters, front-end events, and webhooks are available for deeper integrations. See the documentation hub for the current list and examples.
Does it support translations and RTL? Customise & developers
Strings are translation-ready, and RTL styles are available for right-to-left languages. You can translate via standard WordPress localisation workflows.
Who gets free calculator support? Support
Active Pro licence holders receive free help for Calorie Calculator Pro issues. Include your licence email, site URL, and a short description of what you see.
